I am so excited to be a part of this Holiday gifts of Love and thank you for stopping by my blog on this glorious hop. This time of year especially, love is in the air, I feel it. I love it! And ... of course I have a giveaway!
To help you get in the mood for love I have two short sweet romantic snippets. They are sweet because they are young adult. One from my new book, Allusive Aftershock due to be released December 23rd and the other from one of my favorite young adult authors, Airicka Phoenix from her Touching Smoke novel.
Merry Christmas and enjoy! After you read the short snippets please enter the contest to win a copy of Aircika's book or my book and don't forget about the grand prizes.
Allusive Aftershock by Susan Griscom
“Wow,” I whispered, standing between Max and Court.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Court’s focus change and he stared down
at me. There was something strange about the way his eyes bored into me, as if
he could see into my soul. I waited for him to look away but he held his gaze
on me while I pretended to marvel at the sky. I’d never seen him stare at me that
way before and I got nervous. My fingers fidgeted with each other and I clamped
two of them in my other hand to steady them. If I hadn’t known better, I never
would have guessed in a million years he had injuries. His eyes stayed fixed on
me with an intense tenderness I had never seen from a boy before. Maybe
Courtland Reese wasn’t so bad after all. Standing between the two of them in
all their glorious hotness had my stomach doing flip-flops. I knew it was wrong
to think these things under the circumstances, but maybe my mind just needed
the distraction … or confusion. I loved Max, but I was beginning to like Courtland
too. Man, I was in so much trouble.
Touching Smoke by Airicka Phoenix
He turned his head, nuzzling the side of my jaw with his lips. His arms snaked around my middle, turning us so we were on our side and I was pressed into the folds of his chest. We were touching everywhere like two pieces of a perfect puzzle. Even the erratic tattooing of his heart beat against mine in an age old language understood only by them. We were as close to being a single entity as we could possibly get without ever removing our clothes.
“What am I?” I whispered, my eyelids already drooping in the promises of sleep.
If at any point I doubted that he felt half of what I felt, he pressed his lips to my ear, and whispered, “Mine. Always.”
Here's how to win one of those cool grand prizes mentioned above. If YOU go to EACH blog and comment with your email address, you will be entered to win and you can enter over 200 times!

It wasn't a Christmas Memory but last year on Valentine's Day, my husband proposed :) That was pretty romantic.
ReplyDeleteMost romantic... Hubby (at the time was just my boyfriend) flew from Philly to Vegas to go to a Christmas party with me... He had all kinds of surprises up his sleeves! I guess that is why I kept him!
ReplyDeleteSorry no romantic Christmas memories:(
ReplyDeleteA huge congratulations on your release. I am very unromantic and so is my boyfriend. He has been divorced three times if that tells you anything! LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway and happy holidays,
Marlena

My first date with my hubby was on Valentine's day. We went to eat at a great restaurant in Durango that was very romantic. Don't really have any romantic Christmas memories I can think of. sheree.gladdenATgmailDOTcom
ReplyDeleteLove the holidays but not really that romantic i would rather spend it with my kids and family.
ReplyDeleteDrinking hot cocoa, sitting on couch with all of the Christmas lights on and watching a movie with the kiddos. That is as romantic as it gets in my house with 4 kids. LOL
ReplyDeleteBoy I was feeling really pathetic, until I realized I am not alone LOL I cannot think of a single romantic holiday memory, other than what I have read in books :) Thank you for the lovely giveaway opportunity.
